Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

LintMyAI is a code-quality service operated by Lint My AI. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the LintMyAI service and software. By subscribing to or using LintMyAI, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Subscription and Billing

  • LintMyAI is available via monthly or yearly subscription plans.
  • All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
  • All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated.

3. Free Trial

  • A free trial may be offered at our discretion.
  • You will have full access to LintMyAI features during the trial period.
  • Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.
  • After cancellation, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time.
  • Refund requests made within 14 days of initial purchase will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Refunds are processed through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

5. License and Usage Rights

  • Your subscription grants a per-seat licence to use the LintMyAI software.
  • The licence is non-transferable and non-sublicensable.
  • You may use LintMyAI in both commercial and personal projects.
  • You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or resell the software.
  • Your licence key must not be shared publicly or committed to version control.

6. Service Availability

  • Licence validation requires periodic internet connectivity.
  • We aim for 99.9% uptime for our licence validation services.
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.
  • The software works offline once your licence has been validated.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The LintMyAI software, rules, and documentation are our intellectual property.
  • Configurations generated by the software may be freely used in your projects.
  • Any code analysed by the software remains your property.
  • We claim no rights over code scanned by LintMyAI.

8. Data and Privacy

  • No source code is transmitted to our servers.
  • Licence validation sends only the licence key; no other data is collected during this process.
  • Website analytics are collected via privacy-respecting tools (Umami).
  • No personal data is sold to third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any issues arising from rule suggestions or configurations.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the total fees you have paid in the previous 12 months.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms with at least 30 days' notice via email.
  • Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
  • Material changes will require your active consent.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
